LOS ANGELES, CA–(Marketwired – Jul 29, 2014) – Reed’s, Inc. (NYSE MKT: REED), maker of the top-selling sodas in natural food stores nationwide, announced today that it was invited to sponsor the VANS US Open of Surfing, underway in Huntington Beach, California. Reed’s Ginger Brew, Virgil’s Root Beer, and Reed’s Butterscotch Beer are featured in the Event VIP Skybox and Media Hospitality Pavilion, as well as the Surf & Skate Athlete pavilions. The event kicked off last weekend and runs through Sunday August 3, 2014.

Chris Reed, Founder and CEO of Reed’s, Inc., stated, “The US Open of Surfing reached out to us to form a partnership and this is another marketing milestone for the Reed’s brand. The strength of Reed’s as the number one soda in the premium, craft, natural soft drink channel positions our brand for significant marketing opportunities in the right arenas. The demographic of both attendees and athletes at this event is the perfect fit with the Reed’s brand… young, hip, living healthy lifestyles. Today’s young athletes are trendsetters and are seeking out healthier alternatives to the ‘same old, same old’… Reed’s and Virgil’s fills the void that other typical carbonated soft drinks are not capable of fulfilling.”
